Preston Todd
Discipleship & Church Planting

The Lord absolutely surprised us in January of 2023 on our first trip to Pakistan.

Since then, Preston and I have helped begin a brand new arm of Matthew10's ministry in Pakistan and have seen the Lord expand Ascent Mentoring here in Dallas.  Over 1,200 slaves have been set free and there are now 200 mentors investing in 200 students.  Every week, hundreds, if not thousands are coming to faith in Jesus in the nations and high school students are discovering Jesus in beautiful new ways.  It's been beautiful, to say the least — and there is so much more to say!

After serving on the mission field both here and abroad as a single woman for the last 22 years of my adult life, I’m now married to the love of my life.  It has been such a natural transition into marriage and into doing ministry together — which is really the fulfillment of so many of your prayers for my husband and family.  I can't ever say thank you enough!  There is a time for weeping and laughing.  For sowing and reaping.  A time for tearing down and a time for building.  You have supported me and rejoiced with me through so much over the years, which is why I wanted to tell you first that Preston is officially joining me full-time at Matthew10 and Ascent!

Our founder, Dr. Pete, has asked Preston to oversee Discipleship and Church Planting initiatives for Matthew 10 moving forward, along with continuing to join me in building out the ongoing work of evangelism and setting captives free.  No small task!  Additionally, he is now co-leading Ascent with me, helping facilitate worship nights, mentor students, train mentors, and lay a foundation for Ascent to multiply into more schools across Dallas and beyond.

This may not be a surprise to any of you if you know Preston at all.  I married Preston because his heart matches mine in his desire to see Jesus magnified in the lives of students and in the nations.  He has been giving the vast majority of his time to ministry with me over the past year.  With two growing ministries, it's time for him to take the leap and give his full dedication to Matthew 10 and Ascent.  This is a massive desire fulfilled for both of us!  As you would expect, to do this we need to raise support for him to have a salary.  I love this model because I feel like my supporters have been this life-giving extended family for me all these years.  I’ve had a team who is with me and for me and believes in the call God has placed on my life.  And now, I get to do that with Preston and I am so excited for him to experience the joy of having you on his team, too!

Many of you have faithfully partnered with me for years, some even for decades.  Chapter one of my ministry life was an incredible journey together.  Thank you so much.  From the bottom of my heart.  I have felt so loved, supported, and believed in by each of you.  You have been the expression and extension of our Father's grace and love to me through every season of my adult life.  Now, I feel like this is the beginning of chapter two — and we are just getting started!  I truly believe that the best years are ahead and that the work we can accomplish together will so far surpass what any of us could ask, think, or imagine.  He who called us is Faithful, and He will also do it.

So, I am humbly asking you to jump in with us on our joint support team.  I still need and very much appreciate your continued support. If you have any extra capacity to add Preston on as another missionary in your giving, that would be a tremendous gift to me!

I love you all deeply, if we haven't connected recently, please reach out! It would bring us great joy to connect over coffee, a meal, or simply on the phone!  It's time to rejoice and it's time to build — again!

Your sister and friend,
Holly

However I consider my life worth nothing to me; if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me, the task of testifying to the Gospel of God’s grace!
